Donate to restore two historic properties
Volunteers from the Northwest Schooner Society are restoring the 1906 Lightstation due west of Anacortes, Washington and the historic Schooner Lavengro, the last original Biloxi schooner. Can you help fund these projects with a donation of money or materials?

Schooner Lavengro
A major drydocking will take place on the Lavengro next spring, part of the ongoing restoration of the 1927 schooner. Volunteers, working alongside a professional boatwright, refastened the boat below the waterline in 2008 and replace a few damaged planks. The bill came to over $27,000. This year Lavengro has the promise of free drydocking, so we hope to get some ribs replace, more refastening done and general maintenance for $15,000. Can you help raise the boat?

Burrows Island Lightstation
There's a massive amount of work to do at the lightstation before the three 1906 buildings can be opened to the public. Volunteers have been replacing windows & doors, rebuilding walls, hauling garbage and rebuilding stairs. Now we need some professionals to undertake the roof, chimneys and even raingutters on the massive duplex. We all look forward to the day when visitors can stay the night-- week?-- and get a feel for life as a lighthouse keeper.
